The extension provided a large space for the new kitchen and the design had to allow for the large windows in the middle of the run. The ceiling extractor hood enabled the hob to be in the island. A second run of cabinets with the laundry appliances was placed by the back window. The freestanding stainless steel fridge was framed with panels and a pull out larder.
